FAQ
About the Jewelry
Each piece of Reload Love jewelry begins as a spent bullet casing — melted down and recast into brass charms and pieces that are finished by hand. What was once a remnant of conflict is transformed into something new: a symbol of strength, beauty, and renewal.
Yes. Because our jewelry is handcrafted and made from reclaimed materials, no two pieces are exactly alike. Each carries subtle variations in color and texture — a reflection of the story behind it and the hands that shaped it.
Yes. Every Reload Love purchase helps us bring healing and hope to children and communities affected by war. Proceeds from our jewelry fund projects around the world — from building playgrounds in war-torn areas to supporting trauma care and education. When you wear Reload Love, you wear a story of transformation: what was once a bullet is now a symbol of love made tangible.
Our jewelry is crafted from solid brass made by melting down reclaimed bullet casings. Brass naturally contains small amounts of copper and zinc and is nickel-free. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend keeping your jewelry dry and, when possible, choosing pieces that have been clear-coated or gold-plated for added protection.
Brass naturally develops a soft patina as it reacts with air and moisture — part of its charm and character. Some people love this aged look; others prefer to keep their pieces bright. Both are beautiful. With gentle care and the simple cleaning methods in our Caring for Your Brass Jewelry guide, you can easily restore its golden glow whenever you like.
Care & Maintenance
It’s best to remove your brass jewelry before bathing, swimming, or exercising. Water and humidity can speed up tarnish and dull the finish over time. A quick wipe with a soft cloth after wearing helps keep your piece bright and beautiful.
Brass jewelry can sometimes leave a faint mark on the skin — a natural reaction that occurs when the metal interacts with moisture, oils, or individual body chemistry. It’s completely harmless and can be easily minimized with proper care.
Most of our pieces are left in their natural brass form, allowing them to age gracefully and develop a unique patina over time. However, when possible and compatible with the design, we treat certain pieces — especially those that rest directly and tightly against the skin, like rings — with a clear protective coat of ProtectaClear or a layer of gold plating to help preserve their finish and reduce the likelihood of skin discoloration.
When a piece has been coated, that information will always be noted in its product description. If coating is not listed in the product description, you can assume that piece is uncoated brass.
With mindful care and regular cleaning, your brass jewelry will continue to evolve beautifully — a reflection of both craftsmanship and wear, uniquely yours.
If your jewelry needs a little love, please reach out to us. Depending on the piece, we may be able to re-polish, re-plate, or re-coat it with ProtectaClear to restore its finish. We’re always happy to help keep your jewelry looking its best.
Each piece of Reload Love jewelry comes in a simple cotton bag that helps protect it from scratches while still allowing it to breathe. Brass naturally reacts to air and moisture over time, so it’s best to store your jewelry in a dry place, away from humidity and direct sunlight. Placing your piece in a box or airtight bag will further prolong the patina process.
If you live in a humid climate, you can add a small silica gel packet or anti-tarnish strip to help slow down tarnish.
Orders, Shipping & Returns
Because our jewelry is crafted in small batches, please allow a few days for processing before shipment. Most orders ship within 3–4 business days, and you’ll receive tracking information once your package is on its way. During peak seasons or for limited-edition releases, processing may take slightly longer — but we promise it’s worth the wait.
Please allow for processing time, in addition to shipping time, when placing your order.
While we don’t currently offer international checkout through our website, we’re happy to accommodate international orders directly. If you live outside the U.S. and would like to purchase a piece, please contact us with the items you’re interested in and your shipping address. We’ll calculate the shipping cost and provide details before completing your order.
We love connecting with customers around the world — every piece of Reload Love jewelry carries a story worth sharing, no matter where it’s headed.
Returns & Warranty
We want you to love your jewelry. If your piece isn’t quite what you expected, please contact us within 30 days of delivery so we can make it right. We gladly accept returns or exchanges on unworn pieces in their original condition, with tags, packaging, and all accompanying materials included. Customers are responsible for shipping charges, and a $5 processing fee will be applied to returns, charged to the original form of payment.
Because each piece is handcrafted, small variations are part of its beauty — but if something truly doesn’t feel right, we’ll work with you toward an exchange, repair, or refund.
If your jewelry arrives damaged or becomes damaged within six months of purchase due to a manufacturing issue, we’ll repair or replace it at no cost. If the original design is no longer available, we’ll offer a comparable piece or a refund — whichever feels right for you.
We’re honored that you’ve chosen to wear something made with purpose — a piece that carries a story of transformation and hope.
